south bound

Travelling through the southern part of New Zealand's South Island, in Southland and Central Otago I have experienced textures and surfaces that are an integral part of the wider landscape view. From where I stand, in each place that I photograph, I select and combine elements that represent the feel and character of that specific location. These are captured as multiple exposures in camera or combined in the digital darkroom.

I have come to love this country, and the title reflects my southern journey, relishing the rough, empty gravel roads and the dry summer pastures.
Welcome to Caroline Fraser Photography

Colourful abstracted and traditional photographic landscapes capturing the moods and beauty of nature whether in wild open places or in small sanctuaries in suburbia.
